Incorporate into your tour of the major historic, cultural and architectural sites of Bhutan a leisurely trek to beautiful high-altitude lakes.
Trekking days are relatively short, however there are a few steep climbs, as you follow the old trade route through alpine pastures covered in brilliant alpine flowers, fir and rhododendron forests and cross passes offering spectacular views of the Dagala Range and the Himalaya. Camping near Yutsho Lake, where golden trout abound, spend 2 days exploring the beautiful surrounding lakes or climbing Jomo Peak (5050m).
